NAWBO Houston is pleased to announce that NAWBO Houston chapter member, Alli Jarret, owner of Harold’s Restuarant and Tap has been recognized as a Woman of Excellence by the Federation of Houston Professional Women.
Jarrett exemplifies a woman of excellence through her community involvement and philanthropic endeavors. She was instrumental in the Inaugural LPGA-USGA GirlsGolf Team Championship and recently participated in the Houston Dining Out For Life that benefits the Houston Aids Foundation. These are but a few of the ways that Alli gives back to the community.
She was named by The Leader – 2017 Leader of the Year and she serves on the Vestry of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and is active on the Texas Golf Hall of Fame board and The Spirit Golf Association board.
Jarrett renovated the former clothing store, “Harold’s in the Heights”, which now serves the community southern cuisine and is known as Harold’s Restaurant & Tap Room. Harold’s specializes in fresh and local ingredients and has a rooftop terrace overlooking 19th Street. The restaurant has been named on Alison Cook’s Houston Chronicle Top 100 Restaurant list in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Harold’s is philanthropic with its support of Women of Wine Charities, Houston Food Bank, Rebuilding Together Houston, March of Dimes and The Beacon along with numerous other charities and local schools.
